On this page we share what is happening on Murchison House Station and Events that are planned in Kalbarri, Western Australia.
Kalbarri Canoe and Cray Carnival and Adventurethon are events held on the long (public holiday) weekend in June each year. One of the events is the popular Murchison River Dash, which starts at Murchison House Station and requires competitors to paddle in a time trial for 16.5km to the Murchison River foreshore in Kalbarri. Contact the Kalbarri Visitors Centre for more details.
Murchison House Station will be closed for Homestead tours, Bush camping and 4WD access from 1 November 2019 and will re-open 01 April 2020. This allows us to concentrate on our goat mustering programme and perform maintenance on the homestead and tracks around the station.
This year the homestead camp ground will remain open over the summer months with a short break over Christmas and New year to allow our staff to have a well earned rest. Station access is still available through guided tours with Kalbarri Quadbike Safaris and Kalbarri Outback Action. These tours operate all year round. Please contact them directly for information and bookings.
