On this page we share what is happening on Murchison House Station and Events that are planned in Kalbarri, Western Australia.
Kalbarri Canoe and Cray Carnival is on the long (public holiday) weekend in June each year. One of the events is the popular Murchison River Dash, which starts at Murchison House Station and requires competitors to paddle in a time trial for 16.5km to the Murchison River foreshore in Kalbarri. Contact the Kalbarri Visitors Centre for more details.
Murchison House Station will be closed for camping, homestead tours and 4WD access from 1 November 2017 and will re-open 30 March 2018 (Good Friday). This allows us to concentrate on our goat mustering programme and perform maintenance on the homestead and tracks around the station. Please contact us to make bookings for the Easter break as numbers are limited
Station access is still available through guided tours with Kalbarri Quadbike Safaris and Kalbarri Outback Action which offer canoeing and sandboarding. These tours operate all year round. Please contact them directly for information and bookings.
