DO I NEED TO BOOK FOR CAMPING? - Yes! Our campgrounds are very busy and we are often fully booked, especially during holiday times. Essential information to help you plan your stay is also provided when your booking is confirmed

DO I NEED A 4WD? - The homestead is accessible in a 2WD in normal conditions, however the access road is a 4KM gravel road maintained by the Shire of Northampton and can become corrugated at times and slippery after heavy rain. A 4WD is essential for bush camping out on the station. A 2WD or AWD vehicle is not suitable.

CAN I DRIVE AROUND THE STATION IF IT RAINS? - Please don’t go exploring when it is raining. Driving on wet tracks can cause significant damage costing thousands of dollars and taking months to repair. Management may close any or all tracks and access will be limited to travel between your camp and the homestead only. Please contact the office for current conditions.

CAN I BRING MY QUAD BIKE, ATV OR DIRT BIKE? - No, this is a strict management policy. Our insurance doesn’t cover the use of these unless for pastoral activities undertaken by staff members covered by Workers Compensation

CAN I FLY A DRONE? -No, this is a strict management policy. Drones are noisy and invasive. Out of courtesy to fellow guests we ask you to refrain from using drones while you are here.

CAN I BRING MY DOG? - Yes! Happy friendly dogs are welcome on a lead at your camp. Please leave FIDO in your vehicle when checking in at the office and please do not walk your dogs around the homestead building and shred facilities. Unfortunately, to control wild dogs and foxes it is necessary to periodically use 1080 baits on the property. These areas are usually well away from popular camping areas but please ask at the office for currents information

CAN I HAVE A FIRE? - Yes! From April 1st until October 15th unless the fire weather warning prohibits fires. It is your responsibility to monitor fire weather warnings. Western Australia Fire Danger Ratings (bom.gov.au) Wood is provided for the communal fire pit at the homestead and can be purchased at the office for individual fires. Do not collect wood from around the campsites or out on the station as this contributes to erosion and causes loss of habitat.

AM I ALLOWED TO FISH? - Line fishing is allowed in the river DOWNSTREAM from the homestead. The river here is tidal and flows all the way to Kalbarri. Upstream the river only flows after rain in the catchment and to preserve fish stock fishing is prohibited in the isolated permanent pools. Beach fishing is possible but remote and exposed. Extra caution is recommended due to large swells

WHAT FACILITES ARE AVAILABLE? - Homestead campers have access to toilets, showers and a basic camp kitchen and BBQ’s at the shearers quarters which is located a short walk from the campground. Bush campers staying out on the station are required to be fully self contained as there are no facilities available for this option.

WHERE IS THE NEAREST DUMP POINT? - The nearest dump point is located in the Light Industrial Area in Kalbarri.

IS THERE WATER AVAILABLE? - Yes! Potable water is available at the homestead

IS THERE PHONE SIGNAL OR INTERNET? Telstra service is available at the homestead. Service is limited out on the station. There is no public WiFi available.
